Lovely calm crossing to Cherbourg followed by very moving and poignant visits to Utah and Omaha beaches then onto the memorial cemeteries in Normandy.
The sacrifices given by these people during WW2 allows us to enjoy this holiday we are about to commence
Just enjoying a fab supper in Bayeux tonight before we see the tapestry tomorrow then back in the road to our next destination
Closing thought on our first day – huge thank you to all my family and friends because without your love and support this trip would never have been possible 💕
